念解结咒之前祈求:“请大慈大悲观世音菩萨保佑我XXX(您的名字)与YYY(可以是您亲人的名字或朋友的名字或同事的名字)化解恶缘”。
On the day of celebrating Chinese New Year, I joined the Guan Citta group to propagate the Buddhism Dharma. I have always had hope that more English speakers begin to get in touch with Buddhism. Surprisingly, this time lots of non-Asians are interested in Master Lu’s Words of Wisdom books. One family – a teenage boy, a mother, and father who have lived in England for a few years told me that they need wisdom and took away the introduction to Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and Words of Wisdom books. The dad has asked me how much the books cost, and I said all Master Lu’s books are free. They left with much appreciation.
Yes, the father is right. In this human realm we all suffer, and we all need wisdom.
In Wenda20180302 01:18:53,Master Lu stated:“Buddhism without borders sees no color (佛法无国界)。We should propagate the Buddhism Dharma to European people so that they can start to discover oriental wisdom. The wisdom of the Buddhas has brought us sentient beings infinite power…
There is an old Chinese saying that to rescue one person from death is better than building a seven-storied pagoda. It is great to pioneer in propagating Dharma wisdom to people from western countries.
To walk safely through the maze of this human life, we all need the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue. Let me share two little stories that have recently happened. Again, how I applied the Dharma into my life and onto the people I meet.
On 22 Jan 2024, I was on my way home. I saw a middle-aged Caucasian man lying right in the middle of the foot path in the street. One Caucasian man and one woman were with him. I asked the man what was going on and if they had rung for an ambulance. The man lying on the ground was obviously drunk and had lost consciousness. Yes, more than two phone calls asking for an ambulance had been made. I was honestly upset to see this poor man lying on the ground without dignity. Though there were three local people with him already, I still decided to stay to make sure he was OK. In this incident, fate brought four of us together. Yes, I am the only Chinese person who stayed and tried to help. We waited for nearly 30 minutes and there was still no sign of an ambulance. I then decided to make an emergency call myself to reiterate that we really need help to get the ambulance dispatched as soon as possible. Because I am a strong Buddhism practitioner, I believe the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will bless me and help. Also, I made a little vow to recite 49 times The Cundi Dharani (准提神咒) in the hope that the ambulance would come sooner. After I finished the phone call and was about to finish reciting 49 times The Cundi Dharani, in less than 10 minutes the ambulance had come! To be perfectly honest, I would not say it was only me that made the ambulance come faster, but I do want to show that no matter how little we may contribute, please do it, as all effort helps.
When the ambulance came, all the people around this drunk man left. I was the only one who stayed. I told the ambulance staff that I can help him to move the man to the ambulance car. However, the staff said he knew this guy who was often drunk. I was in tears saying to the staff:“can you please make sure you look after him and tell him to stop drinking, as we cannot do this all the time! Go to some Counselling course“. At that very moment I believed that the Bodhisattvas are with me giving me the wisdom to pass the message to this drunken man. No matter if he has heard the message or not, I do what I should do and just want to bring some light into people’s lives. I was constantly in tears when I was with this man in the street watching cars and people passing by, as we are all human beings, we all suffer physically and mentally at some stage. We all need wisdom to ‘battle’ this life. Guan Yin Citta Dharma’s Door’s five golden practices which are – reciting Buddhist scriptures, making vows, releasing captive lives, studying the Buddhism theories in plain terms, and repenting, can help us resolve various issues, ie, health and relationship issues, family conflicts, etc. Buddhism sees no colour or age.
Story 2: As I have mentioned above, I have recently been to an event to propagate the Buddhism. After I finished, I planned to go to a Buddhist couple’s place, as the uncle had forgotten his WeChat password. It was about 5 and I still had lots of responsibilities at home. I really wanted to go home and do it another day.
However, I remembered the recent advice that I received from Master Lu’s team – DFT (东方台). It said I should treat the elderly people with more patience and care. So I decided to go to the couple’s place to help him to retrieve the password after the event as planned. The Uncle said he had asked a few people for help already without any luck. I told the uncle not to worry and I will try my best. In the middle of the process, it required the Uncle to open his mouth and blink his eyes, etc. He tried twice and failed. I decided to hold his phone, helping him to do it, as I have recited so much Buddhist scripture that I believed I could add some Buddha light to it. Master Lu has advised that chanting sutra is to connect to/talk to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Master Lu’s Q & A session(174).
Guess what? I succeeded straight away!
I went through all the processes with him and successfully helped him to reset his WeChat password. Both the uncle and the aunty were so happy that they went to their garden to cut some vegetables for me, and the uncle who is one year older than my dad said to me: we are good friends I am always glad that I can help people in all forms. Dharma sees no age boundaries.
The Uncle had a very good job in his country, and told me that I am a good kid who is kind and upright, but I don’t know the trick of ‘ass-kissing’. In hearing this, I was a little upset, as he is right – I have been bullied out of the blue, even though I always treat people with a good heart and good intentions. Master Lu has said that we are all subject to certain levels of bullying throughout our lives. After practising the Dharma, I have learnt to ease the conflicts by reciting the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots.
“Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots is for sincerely asking assistance from Guan Yin Bodhisattva to“untie karmic knots”, or to resolve interpersonal conflicts. Some of its great powers include clearing misunderstandings between couples; creating harmony in marriage and family; resolving conflicts at work; and eliminating karmic obstacles due to negative karma from the past.
Before reciting this mantra, you can say your prayer or wish as follows,“May the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva protect and bless me, <your full name>,help me to untie my negative karmic knots with <other party’s full name>, and to transform and resolve our conflicts.” The other party can be your relative, friend, or colleague.“ Untie Mantra to Untie Karmic Knot ——《Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door Q & A session 60》
When I wrote this story, I lit the incense on my altar for the whole time, and prayed for the Buddha and Buddhadeva’s blessings to give me the wisdom to share this.
Last but not least, whatever the difficulties you might come across in life, you are not alone. We all need to be healed physically and mentally, and we all have something to battle in life. Wisdom and love are the best medicine in this journey of life. We can gain wisdom through practicing Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.
Guan Yin Citta Dharma door is to apply the Dharma into our daily life. Through five golden practices, we can help ourselves to heal mental trauma, cure physical illness, resolve difficult relationships and many other things.
With Guan Yin Boddhisatva’s great compassion, love fiercely, gain the benefits of Buddhism and change your own destiny!
